well, not that it is a good thing, but being confined to our home and with our b&b business closed, I now have time to spend on my hobbies - one of which is my Velo. Not run since I last posted here - and then not running well. I am back on trying to get it to run nicely. I can get it to start but not tickover, so as previously, I ask the following question; I want to set up the carb so if I start with the two adjustment screws fully clockwise, can anyone suggest a good starting point; like for example, each one two complete turns anticlockwise or some other "rule of thumb" commencement point? Regards to all geoff

thanks for that, I'll take a look. I had another look today and noticed that fuel is leaking out from the knurled adjuster. I am wondering if perhaps there is some problem with the float. I have checked that the float does cut off the supply - and it does - but perhaps it is maladjusted? Was not a good day today - I finally got the machine running and kept it running using the throttle - and guess what - smoke eminating from the voltage regulator ! This is now completely fried. Never a problem with it before so I have no idea what has happened here. Like I said, not much advance today ! cheers geoff

Jeffy, that link is excellent, thanks. I now need to find a new replacement rubber seal for the float chamber. Any ideas for a source? cheers geoff
